Episode 24 - Thomas Oliver, owner of Waikomo Shave Ice, serves up something sweet in the Las Vegas Valley
Show Notes

Thomas Oliver got his start in business working for his family's pool business on the island of Kauai. He knew early on that the family business was not the route he wanted to take in life, so he decided to step away to figure out what he really wanted to do.

In 2014,  Thomas broke his leg while riding his horse and had to take some time off to clear his mind and heal from his accident.  During that time, he traveled to Europe and did a lot of soul searching and healing for a couple of months.   In 2016, Thomas came up with an idea of selling coconuts on the side of the street and eventually had an opportunity to take over an old food truck. He was given a shave ice machine from a friend and  that was the start of Waikomo Shave Ice, originally named Loco Coco Shave Ice.

During the pandemic, Thomas thought it would be a good idea to expand his business and bring it to Las Vegas. He moved to Vegas in July 2020 and parked his food truck in different locations throughout the valley.  Thomas recently found a permanent location for the truck to serve up some all natural goodness and has more plans to continue expanding his business on the island of Kauai.

Waikomo Shave Ice uses completely natural ingredients with no artificial flavors or colorings. Their shave ice is cool, refreshing and perfect for any day. The combination of finely shaved ice, and delicious syrups, fresh fruit topping drizzled with coco cream and honey makes his loyal customers coming back for more.
